
Dilan joined the Chamber in 1986 and has chaired both the Human Resources Committee (of which he is a member), and the Hire-A-Student Committee. He was a member of the Chamber’s first and second Strategic Planning Committees in 1995 and 2000, and Vice Chair of the Governance Task Force in 1996.
Dilan established the Perera Consulting Group in 2008 specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions, Succession Management and Human Resource Strategy development. Previously, he held executive roles in the energy, high technology and utilities sectors, and was the Manager Human Resources for the 1988 Olympics.
A Past President of the Human Resources Association of Calgary, Dilan is a Director of the Calgary Centre For Newcomers and Chair of the Volunteer Recognition Committee for the United Way. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Calgary South, the Petroleum Club and the Elbow Springs Golf Club.
