
Mr Huntingford is the President and CEO of Winsport Canada (formerly the Calgary Olympic Development Association), a position he has held since the beginning of the year.
In 2007 he consulted for Energy Alberta, that was sold to Bruce Power in December. This followed a long and successful career in the Publishing industry that he left in March of 2007.
Mr Huntingford spent 26 years with SunMedia starting his career as a programmer analyst. He subsequently held positions as Director of application development, Corporate Director of Information Technology, V.P of Operations for the Toronto Sun, Executive Assistant to the CEO and was promoted to Publisher and CEO of the Calgary Sun in 1999. He held this position until 2002 when he was promoted to Senior Group Publisher for Southern Alberta, a position he held until he resigned last year.
Mr Huntingford was born in London England and immigrated to Canada in 1971. He went to high school in Toronto and attended the University of Toronto. He is 51 years old and is married to Riina. They have one son, Matthew who is 24 and lives with them in their Southeast Calgary home.
